Birmingham Cathedral is situated in the heart of the business and administrative centre of the city. Around twenty thousand people walk through the square on working days, and during the summer months, it is a popular lunch time venue for those working locally. It is a living Christian community committed to mission and discipleship and engagement with the city centre. We exist to enable growth in discipleship and service of all who participate in the life of the Cathedral, and to nurture an outward looking and engaging sense of community.

The Cathedral is closely linked with Chaplaincy Plus, an ecumenical Christian initiative, and supported by all the mainstream churches. It is a Christian resource and presence to all who work in the business and professional community in Birmingham city centre. The Cathedral also has close links with B1 Church, a creative ‘Fresh Expression’ of church and St Martins in the Bull Ring.
