The Feast - Faith and Friendship Conference
Ever wondered what dialogue with young people of different faiths could look like?

Want to help young people make friends with people of different backgrounds?
The Faith and Friendship Conference is being run by volunteers and staff from The Feast who have many years' experience of working with young people of different faiths and backgrounds.
The conference will give you:
•The chance to meet youthworkers from different faith backgrounds and different countries
•The opportunity to see a multi-faith youth encounter taking place
•Practical help on multi-faith youth work
•Time to talk to young people about their experiences of encountering peers of different faiths
•Space to consider multi-faith youth work in the light of your own faith or beliefs.
Workshops to include:
•Top tips for multi-faith youthwork
•Youth focussed Guidelines for Dialogue
•A discussion on culture and religion
•Creating safe spaces for dialogue
•Programme ideas for multi-faith youthwork
•Is it dialogue or evangelism?
...all held in a safe environment in which to ask burning questions!
PLUS - faith specific prayer times, and a quiet prayer space open to all
PLUS - a three course evening meal at Al Faisal's restaurant, located in the heart of Birmingham's Balti Triangle, with guest speaker the Bishop of Birmingham

When?
Main Conference:
From 10am Saturday 7th November 2015, to 2:30pm Sunday 8th November 2015
Pre-Conference Extra:
Friday 6th November 2015, 10am-4pm
This day will be about setting up a multi-faith youth project, drawing on the experience of The Feast. For those attending this day there will be a range of social activities on offer for the Friday evening. Details to follow.
Terms and Conditions:
Delegates will be required to secure their own flights, airport transfers and accommodation. A suggested list of hotels, to suit all budgets, will be provided, from which we will arrange transfers to the conference venues.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all conference delegates, plus dinner on the Saturday night at the Bishop of Birmingham Reception. Guests will need to arrange their own breakfast and other meals.
You can also secure your booking by posting a cheque, together with your name and contact details to The Feast's Sparkhill office.

There are many hotels in Birmingham which are able to cater for all budgets and preferences. We have selected a few, from which we will offer transport each morning, though you are welcome to stay wherever you would like!
