Tercentenary Lecture Series: Music in 18th Century Birmingham by Martin Perkins

First home to the Birmingham Triennial music festivals, Birmingham Cathedral has a long tradition of a place of great music. Martin Perkins, harpsichordist and music historian, explores the music audiences in Birmingham in the C18th would have been familiar with. Martin will give a taste of rarely heard works by John Pixell, Richard Mudge, Joseph Harris, and Barnabas Gunn via CD.

Martin is an engaging speaker with recent appearances on national radio.
