Tercentenary Lecture Series Dr Connie Wan 'Samuel Lines'
Dr Connie Wan is the leading authority on the life and works of Samuel Lines. Lines was a landscape artist and teacher and a founding member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. In 1821 he created a painting from the vantage point of the dome of St Philips (later to be Birmingham Cathedral). It is a remarkable snapshot of a forgotten and fading landscape.
Connie is a Curator at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
