welcome

Welcome to the website of Birmingham Cathedral,
the Anglican Cathedral dedicated to St. Philip.

Birmingham Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship since 1715- designed by the English Baroque architect, Thomas Archer. Situated in the heart of the city, we are open and staffed every day of the year.

When Philip met Jesus, he said to a friend "Come and see". Our hope and daily prayer is that all who come to see this beautiful building, and experience our community life, may indeed see Jesus and know for themselves a fresh sense of God's love.

Tuesday Talks
Tuesday Talks are a long established part of the Cathedral calendar. We look at contemporary issues from a Biblical and Christian perspective. The pressures of working in the city can be enormous - an early start, deadlines, back-to-back appointments, endless meetings, and working into the early hours – can make it difficult to take time out and to grow as a Christian. Tuesday Talks are a great opportunity both for the Christian and those wanting to look at the Christian faith to get to know Jesus better, and get to know other people working in the city centre. Talks begin at 1.10pm and last for 20-25 minutes.
