In:Site Festival 2018, A festival of graduate creativity
Monday 3rd - Friday 7th September 2018, 11am-6pm (Work is on show until Sunday 9th)
You are invited to come along to this year’s In:Site Festival which takes place this September in Cathedral Square.
In its eighth year, the festival sees recent graduates transforming the outdoor space around the cathedral with unusual craft ‘interventions’. It is free for everyone to watch and take part.
Find out who is exhibiting each day by checking our daily events listings.
You can get involved with the creation of some of the artworks using a variety of different making techniques. At this year’s festival visitors can see and take part in creative activities including a pop-up community garden made from clay, weaving on a loom, pewter casting, cyanotype printing, terazzo making, clay modelling and spinning wool. With different artists working each day, at the end of the week visitors can expect to see the space adorned with fourteen new art works.
The festival aims to showcase new graduate talent and develop emerging craft businesses. It provides graduates with a paid early career commission and profile for their CV.
Free and open to all!
